Site Manager & Labouring Roles required for Bristol based landscaping company. -

Green Bear Landscaping are one of Bristol’s premier garden design and landscaping companies.

As part of the APL (Association of professional landscapers) Trustmark the governments mark of quality contractors and a Bradstone approved installer we pride ourselves on going above and beyond our client’s expectations. We work to a very high standard which shows in every project we take part in.

Due to our continued success we are now looking to recruit for 2 roles within the company. We now have a vacancy for a ‘Site Manger role’ and a ‘labouring’ role.

Site manager Role:

The ideal candidate will either be working for a current landscaping company or have at least 3 years’ experience within a similar role. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the projects in the manger’s absence, managing staff and exceeding our customers expectations in every task. You will report directly to the business owner. You will be skilled in all aspects of landscaping and will be able to understand project plans and designs while working to required deadlines. The ideal candidate will be skilled and have experience in laying a wide range of paving, woodwork tasks such as building bespoke timber structures and decking, pergolas, fencing ect. Be competent in brick & block work, excavation, drainage, artificial grass, soft landscaping, block paving. Rendering, laying resin bound surfaces and a horticulture or design background would also be an advantage. You will need to understand and be competent in using use a wide range of tools.

You will need to be a positive person with a keen eye for detail. Be able to work to targets, be punctual and polite. You will need to manage a small team while working on your tasks. You will need to physical fit and in good health and the job is very labour intensive. Be clean and respectful and have a safety first conscious.

You will be required to show examples of your pervious work and provide references.

For the right candidate we offer a very generous pay package which is negatable. You will receive a pension with the company along with 28 days paid holiday. The package comes with the use of a company van and all business miles will be paid. All tools will be provided. Uniform is provided free of charge along with paid summer and winter work do’s and award events. Although we foresee this as an Employed role, we would also consider applications from self-employed professionals.

Labouring Role:

The ideal candidate will either be working for a current landscaping or building company or have at least 1 years’ experience within a similar role. You will be responsible in assisting and supporting the team by helping with clearance and excavation, preparing mixes and maintaining a clean and safe site. You will be expected to understand and be able to use a range of tools. You will be expected to work as part of a team and be confident in performing at individual tasks when required. A horticulture knowledge or background would be an advantage.

You will need to be a positive person with a keen eye for detail. Be able to work to targets, be punctual and polite. You will need to physical fit and in good health and the job is very labour intensive. Be clean and respectful and have a safety first conscious.

You will require your own transport.
