With Christian Coelho
Coming from Rio for a one off summer event at Yoke, join Christian for a 90min Forrest Yoga practice weaved together with Native-American ceremony and healing practices, such as cleansing of energy, the acknowledgment of the four directions and traditional songs. Open to all levels, come and explore how ceremony can help you go deeper to connect to your self with compassion and interest, as well as bring clearer purpose to your life and to your yoga practice.
Forrest Yoga is focussed on physical and emotional healing. There are four pillars to Forrest Yoga providing the foundation for the practice: Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit, developed by Ana Forrest to address the physical and emotional challenges we face day to day. Guided by breath the intelligent sequencing combined with magical assists will allow you to truly connect to yourself bringing you back to feeling within your body.
Humble, genuine and warm, Christian’s classes are inspired by his experience in a variety of styles of yoga.
Born and raised in Brazil and initially trained in Ashtanga & Rocket Vinyasa Yoga, Christian found inspiration in the slower and intuitive style of Forrest Yoga. Recently graduated from SOAS University with a masters degree in Yoga History & Philosophy, Christian loves to create an environment where students can explore many aspects of yoga - physical, metal, emotional and spiritual - so they can listen to the voices of intuition and develop a growing relationship with themselves. Further, Christian uses the power of Native-American ceremony to inspire his life and to teach from a place of fullness, so his students are always welcomed and guided to his best quality of attention.
Christian recently moved back to his home-city of Rio de Janeiro to open his yoga studio in 2018, called Casa 111. Currently teaching classes, workshops and assisting Teacher Training courses in Brazil, Christian is excited to be back in London for the summer to continue learning and sharing his passion for the practice. Lucky us!
